I started in the trade at 17. Ten years in, the work was fine. It was everything after the work.
Every night I'd pull up at home and sit in the van on the drive, because the quotes and the invoices and the chasing had to be done before I went in. Every night. And the better the quotes were, the more people rang, so it never got smaller. I was starting to hate a trade I'd loved since I was 17.

Do I need a card to start?
Not to try it. Your free week and your demo quote don't need one. If you pick a plan during the week, you add your card then and nothing is taken that day: the first payment goes out automatically when your free week ends (or up to two days later if you pick it in the last two days). Don't pick a plan and nothing is ever charged; the account pauses with nothing deleted.
Will InstaQuote price my jobs correctly?
It prices from your own rates, not a generic calculator. If it has to assume a size or detail it flags it so you can check before you send, so the number is yours, not a guess.
What happens after I send a quote?
Your customer gets a link, with nothing to install. They accept the quote and, once you've connected payouts in Settings, pay the deposit by card on their phone. The job books into your next eligible free day and they can move the date from their link. When you tap Job done, the balance invoice goes out, or it's marked paid with a receipt if the deposit covered it. Overdue invoices get polite reminders in your name, four at most over three weeks, and they stop the moment it's paid.
What does it cost after the trial?
From £47/mo on Starter, for you and one more. Crew is £57/mo for up to 3 logins, Team £87/mo for up to 5 and Firm £157/mo for up to 10, and InstaQuote takes no fee on card payments (Stripe's standard card rate still applies). Your price stays the same for as long as your plan stays active.
What's included in each plan?
Every plan gives you, the owner, the full app, books included, with no limit on jobs. They differ only in how many of you log in: Starter (£47/mo) is two logins, yours and one for a worker; Crew (£57/mo) up to 3, Team (£87/mo) up to 5 and Firm (£157/mo) up to 10. Your team sees the work and you keep control of the business: each team login gets the jobs, the addresses and what needs doing, and posts progress, photos and hours from site, but never sees your prices, margins, invoices or accounts.
