Built for UK solar installers
A quoting app for solar installers that doesn't stop at the quote. Price the panels, the battery and the scaffold from your own rates, then it takes the deposit, books the install and gets you paid.

The only bit you do
Say it after the survey: 4kW system, two extra panels, a 5kWh battery, scaffold and bird mesh. It comes back with each part priced on its own line, so the customer can see what the battery adds.
Voice note the survey, or photo the roof and the consumer unit. Panels, battery, scaffold, mesh and paperwork come back as separate priced lines.
Put a tape in shot, tap two points and it measures. Anything you didn't measure is marked for you to check.
Priced from your own rates. Solar starts you at £6,800 for a supplied and fitted 4kW system, £3,600 for a 5kWh battery, £850 for scaffold and a £300 day rate, and you change every figure to yours.
Your price list, day one
Real UK starting prices for solar installers, already in your list on the first day. Every one of them is yours to change, and your rates are what the quotes price from.
| Work | Starter price |
|---|---|
| Solar PV system 4kW (supply & fit) | £6,800/each |
| Battery storage 5kWh (supply & fit) | £3,600/each |
| Scaffold for roof install | £850/each |
| Bird mesh around panels | £450/each |
| Solar installer day rate | £300/day |
Starting points for 2025 and 2026, meant to be tuned to your patch. Change one in Settings and every future quote uses it.
The panels, inverter, mounting kit, cable and isolators sit against the system line, the battery and its cabling against the battery. One list to order from your wholesaler.
You can put a names only list on the customer's copy so they can see what you are supplying, with your buying and your markup kept to yourself.
After you tap Send
A quote is the easy half. The half that eats your evenings is the deposit, the diary, the invoice and the chasing. That is the half InstaQuote does for you.
The deposit
You set the deposit on the quote. The customer pays it by card from the link on their phone, with nothing to install, and it lands in your account through Stripe.
The booking
The deposit books the job. They pick a free slot themselves, they get the confirmation and the reminder, and they can move it themselves from the same link.
The calendar
Your week fills in as the deposits land, and it syncs to Google so the diary on your phone matches the one in the van.
The materials
The take off from the quote is ready to go to your merchants for a price, with your markup on it and kept on your side of the paperwork.
The invoice
Mark the job done and the invoice is drafted for you, priced off the quote with the extras you added on site. One tap and it's gone.
The chasing
If it goes past its date, polite nudges go out in your name until it is paid. Three at most, then it stops and tells you. You are not the bad guy and you are not on the phone.
VAT and CIS
Fitting energy saving materials in a home is zero rated for VAT until 31 March 2027, so you set the VAT on that quote to 0% and keep 20% for everything else. Work for a builder or a contractor and the CIS deduction and the VAT reverse charge are worked out for you. You set it per customer, not per quote.
The books
On the Accounts plan (£89/mo) it keeps the books behind all of it: expenses, what each job actually made, and your VAT return figures ready for you or your accountant to file with HMRC.
7 days of the whole thing, on real jobs, before you pick a plan.
Plain pounds, no call with sales
No card to start the trial, so nothing can be taken by accident. Run real jobs through it for a week, then pick a plan. If you don't, your account pauses and nothing is deleted.

£89/mo
Everything in Founders, plus the books and the crew.
£99/mo
Accounts, plus a website that brings solar installers work in.
Complete is £99/mo for the first 300 members and stays at that price for the life of your plan. It is £119/mo after that. Want the website on its own? It is £39/mo, on top of any plan, with no charge per enquiry.
Cancel any time from Settings, no minimum term and no phone call. During the trial the only money we take is a 2.9% InstaQuote fee on card payments you collect through it; paid plans have no InstaQuote fee at all. Stripe's standard card rate applies either way.

The money questions (the trial, cancelling, your data) are answered on the homepage FAQ, and the how-to guides are in Answers.
Yes. You set the deposit on the quote, the customer pays it by card from the link, and the install books itself into your calendar the moment it lands.
No. Those go through your MCS body and the network operator. There is a line to charge for the paperwork, and InstaQuote quotes, books, invoices and chases the job itself.
The battery is its own line, so it is plain what it adds. If you want the two options side by side, send them as two quotes, one with the battery and one without.
Quote the job in about a minute from your own rates. Then it takes the deposit, books the job in, drafts the invoice, chases the money and works out the VAT and CIS. You just turn up and do the work.
