Why us, not the others
Two things no other trade app we checked will do.
We read ten rival apps on their own websites. Plenty of them make a quote. We didn't find these on any of them.
The deposit books the job.
Your customer pays the deposit on the quote you sent, and the job books itself into your next free days. If the date doesn't suit, they move it themselves. No other app we checked does all of that from a quote you wrote.
The books keep themselves.
Upload your bank statement and it matches the money to your invoices and expenses, then shows what to put aside for tax as the year goes.

The only bit you do
How a quote for security and cctv installers gets built.

You set the deposit on the quote. The customer pays it by card from the link on their phone, with nothing to install, and it lands in your account through Stripe.
The booking
The deposit books the job into your next free day. They get the confirmation and the reminder, and they can move it themselves from the same link.
The calendar
Your week fills in as the deposits land, and it syncs to Google so the diary on your phone matches the one in the van.
The materials
The take off from the quote is ready to go to your merchants for a price, with your markup on it and kept on your side of the paperwork.
The invoice
Mark the job done and the invoice goes out on its own, priced off the quote with the extras you added on site.
The chasing
If it goes past its date, polite nudges go out in your name until it is paid. Four at most over three weeks, then it stops and tells you to give them a call. You are not the bad guy and you are not on the phone.
VAT and CIS
Most of this work isn't a construction operation, so CIS stays off and you just charge VAT as normal. If you do subcontract for a builder or a contractor, tick CIS on that quote and the deduction is worked out on the quote and the invoice. If you're both VAT registered, tick the reverse charge too and the wording follows.

4 answers · No small print

Can I quote a system now and extra cameras later?
Yes. Extra cameras and points are their own lines, so you can send a quote for the system today and add to it from the same customer's history when they want more.
Does it handle service and maintenance visits?
Yes. Put your annual service on as a line, and the app can raise the invoice and chase it for you when it's due. Recurring invoices can go out on a set day each month or year.
Do I have to charge CIS?
Most of this work isn't a construction operation, so CIS stays off and you just charge VAT as normal.
