Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of InstaQuote IQ (the “service”), provided by InstaQuote Ltd (Company No. 17224118), a company registered in England & Wales (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them. Contact: hello@getinstaquote.com.

The service

InstaQuote IQ is a software tool for UK trades to create quotes and invoices, schedule jobs, take payments, and manage accounting and tax tasks. It provides tools and calculations; it is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax or legal advice.

Eligibility & account

• You must be 18+ and using the service for a business.
• You’re responsible for your login details and for activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Free trial, plans & card fee

• New accounts start with a free 7-day trial of the whole app: every feature, no card required to start. We do not take any payment details up front, so nothing can be charged automatically.
• At the end of the trial, you choose a paid plan to continue. If you do not, your account is paused (your data is retained, not deleted) until you subscribe. Accounts created before 29 June 2026 are not subject to the trial or this requirement and keep their existing free-of-charge access on the terms under which they joined.
• The plans are: Founders Rate (currently £39/month or £390/year), for a single solo user; Accounts (currently £89/month or £890/year), which adds team logins (up to 10 crew, each scoped to see the work and log their hours) plus crew tools to track your team's hours and labour cost; and the Complete bundle (currently £99/month), which combines Accounts with the KERB Sites lead-generating website. All plan prices include VAT where applicable. A plan is charged immediately on subscribing; there is no further trial on a paid plan.
• We earn an InstaQuote card payment fee on the card payments you collect through the app. On any paid plan this fee is zero — InstaQuote takes nothing. During the free trial (and on any pre-29-June-2026 free account) the fee is currently 2.9% (no per-payment cap). The fee, when it applies, is deducted from your payout and is never added to the amount your customer pays. It is separate from, and on top of, your payment processor's (Stripe's) own standard processing charge, which is set by Stripe and is not ours.
• The Founders and Accounts rates shown are founder prices. The first 300 members join at today's price, the next 300 at double, after which the standing price applies. Whichever price you join at is the price you keep.
• What is locked for the life of your subscription is your subscription price and your card-fee rate, for as long as your subscription stays active and continuous and we continue to offer the plan. This lock does not cover the set of features, the team-member limit, the optional website add-on price, or AI model routing and SMS credits, which are product terms we may change on 30 days' written notice to reflect our underlying costs or a material change in law (for example a VAT change); you may cancel free of charge before any such change takes effect. The service is provided to you as a business customer.
• The KERB Sites website is InstaQuote's optional website service (currently £39/month), provided and billed by InstaQuote Ltd as an add-on on top of any plan. When bought on its own as the £39/month add-on, the first month is free; your app plan and its card fee still apply during that month. When the website is included in the Complete plan (£99/month, software and website together), that plan's free 7-day trial applies instead of a free website month. You can cancel the website without affecting your InstaQuote plan.
• If you refer another business and they subscribe to a paid plan, you and the person you referred each receive one month free — a credit equal to one month of your plan, applied to a single invoice (so on an annual plan it is one month's worth, not a free year). The reward applies once the referred account is on a paid plan and is subject to us confirming a genuine, unconnected referral; we may withhold it in cases of abuse.
• You can cancel a paid plan anytime in Settings → Billing; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, after which your account is paused until you subscribe again (your data is retained). Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Except where required by law, subscription fees already paid are non-refundable.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the quotes, invoices, expenses, VAT returns and other records you create or submit using the service, including anything filed with HMRC. Always review figures before sending or submitting them. We are not liable for errors in data you enter or in submissions you authorise.

Acceptable use

• Don’t use the service unlawfully, or to store or send unlawful content.
• Don’t attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Don’t use it to send unsolicited or fraudulent communications.

Third-party services

Features that connect to Stripe, TrueLayer (Open Banking), HMRC, Google and others are also subject to those providers’ terms. We’re not responsible for third-party services we don’t control.

Intellectual property

We own the service and its software. You own the content and data you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and process that content to provide the service.

Availability & liability

We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using the service and cancel anytime. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached. You can export your data before closing your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to its courts.
