You shouldn't have to do any of this. After you send the quote, the only thing you do is tap Job done. The deposit, the booking, the invoice and the chasing are handled.

With InstaQuoteQuote priced from your saved rates in seconds. Sent straight away. The customer accepts on their phone.
NowDeposit chased before the skip's even booked.
With InstaQuoteThe quote is accepted and the deposit is paid on the same screen, by card.
NowStage invoices typed up late, the balance paid when the customer's ready.
With InstaQuoteTap Job done and the invoice goes out. Late payers get reminders in your name that stop when they pay.
NowCIS on the subbies, VAT on the job, reverse charge for the main contractor, all by hand.
With InstaQuoteVAT, CIS and job totals worked out on every quote and invoice, the HMRC way, with the figure shown.

I'm Tom. Ten years in the trade, and every quote done sat in the van on the drive. If that's you, keep reading.
I started in the trade at 17. Ten years in, the work was fine. It was everything after the work.
Every night I'd pull up at home and sit in the van on the drive, because the quotes and the invoices and the chasing had to be done before I went in. Every night. And the better the quotes were, the more people rang, so it never got smaller. I was starting to hate a trade I'd loved since I was 17.
If you've ever sat outside your own house doing paperwork, you know.
I tried every system going. Every one made a quote, then left me in the van doing the rest.
So I came off the tools and spent 18 months building the thing that didn't exist. Every step I used to do on that drive, built in so it happens without you. The quote prices itself from your rates. The deposit books the job. The invoice goes when you tap Job done. The late payer gets chased. VAT and CIS worked out.
Two things we found in no other trade app we checked: the deposit on your quote books the job and the customer moves the date themselves, and your bank statement gets matched with the tax to put aside shown.
It's new. Price a real job on it, 7 days free. If it's not quicker than what you do now, bin it and tell me why.
What I want is simple: you out of the van and in the house, paid properly and on time, and back in love with the trade you picked.

One plan price for your team-size band, not a separate fee for every user: Starter covers 2 of you (you and one worker), Crew up to 3, Team up to 5, Firm up to 10. And ours keeps going after the quote: the deposit, the booking, the invoice and the chasing.
On Tradify, once a customer accepts your quote you still book the job in, and move the date yourself when they ask.
Tradify's prices from their own website, on their lowest-priced plan, checked 19 September 2026. Prices move, so check theirs before you decide. Prices shown are what you pay. InstaQuote is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added. The whole comparison, line by line

Why us, not the others
Every app we checked does quotes, invoices, the diary, VAT and CIS. So do we. These six are on top, and none of the ten says it does them.
No more chasing a date. They pick it, they move it, you turn up.
Upload it and every payment is matched to the invoice it paid. No surprise tax bill: what to put aside is shown as the year goes.
Your work is yours, not ours. Five of the ten say on their own sites that they lock you out or delete it.
No more working out the itemised version at the kitchen table. Your merchant's prices, your markup.
Gas Safe, NICEIC, CSCS, insurance, the lot on file. You're told before one runs out, never after.
Make a key in Settings, paste it into ChatGPT or Claude once, and ask "who owes me?". It can read your account and never change it.
Checked on their own websites, 18 to 26 September 2026, and ServiceM8 again on 3 October, and all ten again on 12 October 2026: Tradify, Powered Now, Fergus, ServiceM8, Jobber, Commusoft, YourTradebase, QuickPrice, VoxTrade and PriceUp. Where their site says nothing, we say "not found", never "they don't". See it app by app.
The only bit you do
A quoting app for builders that doesn't stop at the quote. Price the job from your own rates and your subbies' day rates, then it takes the deposit, books the job in and gets you paid. Type the job into your phone on the way back to the van: knock through, steel, slab, muck away, three weeks of labour. It comes back itemised, in sections, priced off your own rates.
Type it, say it or photo it. Type or say the job, or photo it. Structural work, groundworks, labour and plant come back as separate priced lines you can move around.
You give the sizes, it does the sums. No tape, no measuring tool. A photo gives it the rough sizes and what is in the room, you type or say the real sizes, and it prices off your rates. Anything it assumed is marked for you to check.
Priced from your rates. Priced from your own rates and day rates. General building starts you at £950 for a knock through with a lintel, £95/m² for a slab and a £250 builder day rate, and you change every figure to yours.
Your price list, day one
Real UK starting prices for builders, already in your list on the first day. Every one of them is yours to change, and your rates are what the quotes price from.
| Work | Starter price |
|---|---|
| Knock through / form opening + lintel | £950/each |
| Build blockwork wall 100mm | £75/m² |
| Lay concrete slab/oversite 100mm | £95/m² |
| Supply & fit RSJ/steel beam | £1,600/each |
| Builder day rate | £250/day |
Starting points for 2025 and 2026, meant to be tuned to your patch. Change one in Settings and every future quote uses it.
See the full general building price list, freeBlocks, cement, sand, mesh, lintels and the skip all come off the lines you priced, so the take off is built by the time the quote is. One list for the merchant, with your markup on it.
You can put a names only list on the customer's copy so they can see what you are supplying, with your buying and your markup kept to yourself.
VAT and CIS for builders. You are usually the contractor, so CIS runs both ways. On the work you do for others, the CIS deduction is worked out on the quote and the invoice. The reverse charge is a separate tick, and it only applies if you're both VAT registered, the work is standard or reduced rated, and they haven't told you in writing they're the end user. Our free checker settles it. For your subbies: log what you pay each one and it works out the CIS deduction and your monthly CIS300 figures. Put their invoices in as expenses, ticking reverse charge where it applies, so the VAT return picks them up.

The money questions (the trial, the cost, cancelling) are at the bottom of this list, and the how-to guides are in Answers.
Yes. Quotes are built in sections, so groundworks, structure, roof and fit out each get their own priced lines and their own materials. The customer gets one branded PDF with a total and the VAT shown properly.
Yes. Take a deposit on acceptance to book the job in, then set the rest as stages on the quote, each with its own card pay link for the customer. When you tap Job done the balance invoice goes out with the deposit and any stages already paid taken off, and if it runs late it gets chased.
On the work you quote and invoice, yes. For your subbies, log what you pay each one and it works out the CIS deduction and your monthly CIS300 figures. Put their invoices in as expenses, ticking reverse charge where it applies, so the VAT return picks them up.
Yes, on every plan: Starter has 2 logins, Crew up to 3, Team up to 5 and Firm up to 10, you included. Each crew login sees the jobs, the schedule and what is on, and posts progress and hours from site. They never see your pricing, your margin or the money.
Not to try it. Your free week and your demo quote don't need one. If you pick a plan during the week, you add your card then and nothing is taken that day: the first payment goes out automatically when your free week ends (or up to two days later if you pick it in the last two days). Don't pick a plan and nothing is ever charged; the account pauses with nothing deleted.
From £47/mo on Starter, for you and one more. Crew is £57/mo for up to 3 logins, Team £87/mo for up to 5 and Firm £157/mo for up to 10, and InstaQuote takes no fee on card payments (Stripe's standard card rate still applies). Your price stays the same for as long as your plan stays active.
Yes, anytime, from Settings in a couple of taps. No minimum term, no lock-in, no phone call to escape. You keep access to the end of whatever you've already paid for, and that's that.
Your trade's starter price list, free. No spam.
Every common job in your trade, its unit and a realistic starting price, on one page you can print or keep on your phone. They are starting points to adjust, not a rate card.
Price a real job on it. Build the quote from your rates, send it, and watch the deposit, the booking and the chaser run themselves. If it isn't quicker than what you do now, cancel in a couple of taps and tell us why.
