I started in the trade at 17. Ten years in, the work was fine. It was everything after the work.

The only bit you do
How a quote for carpenters gets built.
A quoting app for carpenters that doesn't stop at the quote. Price the doors, the skirting and the studwork from your own rates, then it takes the deposit, books the job in and gets you paid. Type it in as you walk the house: seven doors hung, forty metres of skirting, a stud wall, box in the boiler. It comes back priced per door, per metre and per m², off your own rates.
Type it, say it or photo it. Type or say the walk round, or photo the job. Doors, skirting, architrave, studwork and second fix come back as separate priced lines.
You give the sizes, it does the sums. No tape, no measuring tool. A photo gives it the rough sizes and what is in the room, you type or say the real sizes, and it prices off your rates. Anything it assumed is marked for you to check.

7 answers · No small print

Can it price per door and per metre instead of per m²?
Yes. A door is a door, skirting is per metre, a stud wall is per m² and bespoke work comes off your day rate. Nothing is forced into a single unit.
Does a fire door get priced differently from an internal door?
Yes. An FD30 with a closer is its own line, seeded at £160 against £120 for a standard internal door, because the door, the ironmongery and the time are not the same.
Can I quote bespoke joinery that has no rate?
Yes. Price it off your day rate with the days you expect, or put it in as a one off line with your own figure. The rest of the quote still prices itself from your list.
I second fix for builders. Does it do CIS and the reverse charge?
Work for a builder, a contractor or a developer and the CIS deduction is worked out on the quote and the invoice. The reverse charge is a separate tick, and it only applies if you're both VAT registered, the work is standard or reduced rated, and they haven't told you in writing they're the end user. Do I need a card to start?
Not to try it. Your free week and your demo quote don't need one. If you pick a plan during the week, you add your card then and nothing is taken that day: the first payment goes out automatically when your free week ends (or up to two days later if you pick it in the last two days). Don't pick a plan and nothing is ever charged; the account pauses with nothing deleted.
What does it cost after the trial?
