Why us, not the others
Two things no other trade app we checked will do.
We read ten rival apps on their own websites. Plenty of them make a quote. We didn't find these on any of them.
The deposit books the job.
Your customer pays the deposit on the quote you sent, and the job books itself into your next free days. If the date doesn't suit, they move it themselves. No other app we checked does all of that from a quote you wrote.
The books keep themselves.
Upload your bank statement and it matches the money to your invoices and expenses, then shows what to put aside for tax as the year goes.

Every line carries its parts, so a cylinder change brings the cylinder and a mechanism swap brings the multipoint. Your van stock list builds itself off the jobs you've done.
You can put a names only list on the customer's copy so they can see what you are supplying, with your buying and your markup kept to yourself.

The deposit
You set the deposit on the quote. The customer pays it by card from the link on their phone, with nothing to install, and it lands in your account through Stripe.
The booking
The deposit books the job into your next free day. They get the confirmation and the reminder, and they can move it themselves from the same link.
The calendar
Your week fills in as the deposits land, and it syncs to Google so the diary on your phone matches the one in the van.
The materials
The take off from the quote is ready to go to your merchants for a price, with your markup on it and kept on your side of the paperwork.
The invoice
Mark the job done and the invoice goes out on its own, priced off the quote with the extras you added on site.
The chasing
If it goes past its date, polite nudges go out in your name until it is paid. Four at most over three weeks, then it stops and tells you to give them a call. You are not the bad guy and you are not on the phone.
VAT and CIS
Most of this work isn't a construction operation, so CIS stays off and you just charge VAT as normal. If you do subcontract for a builder or a contractor, tick CIS on that quote and the deduction is worked out on the quote and the invoice. If you're both VAT registered, tick the reverse charge too and the wording follows.

Cancel any time from Settings, no minimum term and no phone call. During the trial the only money we take is a 2.9% InstaQuote fee on card payments you collect through it; paid plans have no InstaQuote fee at all. Stripe's standard card rate applies either way.

4 answers · No small print
The money questions (the trial, cancelling, your data) are answered on the homepage FAQ, and the how-to guides are in Answers.
Can I get paid on the doorstep?
Yes. Turn the job into an invoice and send the pay link before you leave, by email, and by text if you switch texts on in Settings. They pay by card on their phone and the app marks it paid and files it for your accounts.
Is it quick enough for a ten minute job?
Yes. Pick the customer, tap two lines off your price list and send. Most locksmith jobs are two taps because the prices are already yours.
Can it handle landlords and letting agents with lots of jobs?
Yes. Every job sits under that customer with its own history, and you can send them one invoice per job or bill them per property, whichever they want.
Do I need to worry about CIS?
